Thomas Thijssen is one of the most promising new talents from the Netherlands. By using photography, digital software, an artistic mind and a lot of passion, he certainly ensures a bright future.

 

Thomas studied photography for four years. That study contained a technical side as well as a practical side. For the practical side he gained experience assisting Holland’s most famous and world-famous photographer Erwin Olaf. At his own initiative he travelled to South Africa to assist South-Africa’s top photographers such as Malcolm Dare, Des Kleineibst, Brian Taylor and others.

 

For his final exam work he created a fictional Dolce and Gabbana campaign, using passages from the Bible to promote fashionable sunglasses. Not only did he manage to score one of the highest grades ever given with this project, he also managed to attract the attention of PF magazine, a prominent Dutch photography magazine. Which resulted in a cover publication.

 

Nowadays, Thomas is not only busy with shooting images he also likes to create new ones. The era of digital photography has come which brought the advantage to manipulate images. With his creative mind and his artistic past, Thomas brings a whole new dimension to photography, giving the client a custom made image.

 

Although his young age Thomas already has an impressive list of clients and assignments. With his positive attitude and open mind he definitely has a promising future ahead of him.
